Helen Abbott Pilates is the name of new Mat Pilates classes in Stoke Gifford, Bradley Stoke and Little Stoke.
I like to make classes fun, varied, dynamic and (at intermediate level) challenging. They are based on a functional and contemporary approach to Pilates. This, I combine with more traditional Pilates exercises, to counteract the effect of our large... ly sedentary lifestyles.
My classes are suitable for beginners and mixed ability up to intermediate level.
Who can do Pilates?
Everybody! No matter what your age, how fit or unfit you are, a new mum, male or female, you will feel the benefit of Pilates.
Ageing is part of life and something we can't change. As we grow older, we lose our physical abilities, but at the end of the day, age is only a number and the rest a mindset. I believe that age shouldn't define us. Movement is accessible to everyone, whatever your age and whatever your condition.
Pilates is low impact, slow and structured, using imagery to explain which muscles you should be using and how to carry out the exercise in a safe way. Insured By: Balens
